How to enable copy and paste between your computer and Remote Desktop
When connecting to Remote Desktop, you may see a Remote Desktop Connection security warning before the session opens.
To copy and paste between your local computer and the Remote Desktop session, you must enable Clipboard access before connecting.
What to do
On the Remote Desktop security warning screen, find the section:
“Allow the remote computer to access the following resources on my computer:”
Tick the checkbox for:
Clipboard
Click Connect.
Why this is needed
The Clipboard option allows copy and paste between your local computer and the Remote Desktop environment.
If this option is not selected, copy and paste may not work between your computer and the remote session.
Important note
This option may need to be selected each time you log in. Before clicking Connect, always check that Clipboard is ticked.
Do not enable other options unless specifically required.
