Go to https://www.office.com/ and select “Sign In” at the top right of the page. Outlook online page starts automatically in Google Chrome on your office PC.

After that, sign in using n.surname@nonstopconsulting.com address and your standard password.

After logging in, you can find most of the standard Office apps on the left side of the page. You should be familiar with them but files will work a bit differently since Office online does not have direct access to your files. 

 

Let’s look at how you would interact with online Word. After clicking on the icon on the left side of the page, you will see some templates, among them a Blank document. This is the equivalent of creating a file as you are used to.

Creating a new document will open the word editor as a separate tab, exactly the same as if you open one that you have uploaded or that is saved in the cloud. 

As for accessing your local files, you can upload them using the button highlighted in the following image.

Similarly you can download the files by just right clicking them and selecting “Download”.

All of this applies to Excel and PowerPoint files too.
